Hi all,

'69 Bee, 383, 727. I have a 2 speed switch, I think - off and 2 other positions. Pretty sure I have a 3 speed motor cuz the wiper motor has no plug, just directly hard wired, although a few wires are cut. I have read a few posts on the differences and am pretty sure my linkage under the dash is OEM but I will confirm when I get home from work. I will also double check the build sheet if it shows it but what is the main thing I'm looking for under the dash on the linkage? The different linkage arms that connect to the motor - they are clocked differently, are different lengths and the 2 speed has a black bushing while the 3 speed has a white bushing? I have pictures of the 2 different arms that connect to the wiper motor.

Thanks,
Mikey

Hi Mikey, with that Ramcharger set up and air cleaner you have, you’d have to have a 3 Speed motor. Plymouth air grabber set up on the bottom ala mine lol. They sale the connection block on EBay and could solder wire and terminals as week if your crafty with a solder iron.

Send me text if you want more info also can get a pic of the wiper linkage that my buddy has Friday for a three setup if you want?

If I’d known this I agree. It’s a 3 speed. The ramcharger won’t fit with a 2 speed. A 2 speed switch won’t work and the linkage arms needs to be changed. I did this conversion on my 68 coronet. Could never find the correct arm for the 3 speed.

Thanks, guys. At this point, I'm mainly just looking to get it working again, the easiest way possible. I just got home so I'll run down and take a looksie.

Stay tuned, Bat Fans!

Thanks again,
Mikey

The difference on the arm is the attachment to the motor. 3-speed won't attach to a 2-speed and visa versa. It's the shaft. My '69 Dart had a 3-speed wiper motor, and switch, but my linkage was for the 2-speed. So, had to acquire a switch and motor etc.

And my switch only has off, and 2 positions. So I'm thinking someone replaced the switch with a 2 speed instead of 3??

Thanks,
Mikey

more than likely that is your original switch and they replaced the two speed motor with the 3 speed motor so the ramcharger would fit.

Ok so now I’m a little confused…. I m pretty sure the build sheet says it had the N96 package. I’ll double check but if it did, maybe someone replaced the switch??? I can post a pic of the build sheet if it helps.

Thanks,
Mikey

Hey Dan, I don’t know if that’s the case, was just a thought from what I was told. I’m still trying to confirm figure out what this car has / had / was supposed to have. Is there a straight forward way to tell? Build sheet? I’m certainly a new Mopar guy so just hoping for some guidance.

Thanks,
Mikey

Does the car have a fender tag?

Nope. Long gone. But, from what I was told, the PO sent the VIN and build sheet to the Super Bee registry (at the time I didn’t know that was a thing) and they (I think) reproduced a fender tag that could be re-stamped. And, apparently, it shows the N96 package along with all the other included stuff.
I can post it up for some input/feedback, just need to cut out the old owners info first. So, in short, I have the VIN and broadcast sheet so I should be able to find out all the specifics from those, no?

Thanks for the help,
Mikey.
