Hey All,

Had a thread here about my '71 roadrunner I was fixing up, ended up selling that one and this one followed me home today.

'71 Roadrunner, 383 auto/column. Factory bench but long gone. Engine appears to be numbers matching but I'll have to check. Going to see if I can get it running and driving and back on the road!

Welcome from the central coast of Cal. Good luck on your project and fighting the gravitational pull. Watch your feet.

Update!

Had some time to dig into the car today, with a new ECU and ignition coil I got the 383 running. Did some digging and parts inventory to figure out what I need, also discovered a spot of rust on the frame. Will be putting it up on the lift this week to see what I got myself into.

Another update on the '71 Roadrunner!

Got it up on the lift this week and the underside needs some help, ordered a safe-t-cap and floor pan. Those PA winters are harsh.

Started tackling the brakes, they fought me every step of the way, the cylinders I pulled off were the originals

Redid the cylinders and hardware on each corner and had the drums turned, they'll be ready to go once I get the new lines and master cylinder installed.

On the bright side, it did start up and drive into the garage, and there's a decent set of pipes on it.

Will keep you all updated! Next phase is brake lines and master cylinder. Then I'm going into the engine bay to straighten out the cooling system and I picked up a nice high rise dual plane for the 383 and some other goodies. Then, hopefully I can get some of this metal done and I can start worrying about wheels and tires.
