Another Newsie Gets Busted In A Lie

They are NOT journalists, or even reporters. The Brits call them "newsreaders" or "presenters", which is a far more accurate description of these people. Journalism went away decades ago.

That is what the communist liberal media is all about, lies. They don't even care anymore to even try and conceal the lie. They just freaking say it as fact.

Lies & more excuses, seems to be the status quo...
He is a national figure whether he wants to admit it or not,
he has a responsibility to tell the news as journalistic truth & not conjectiure or full on bull face lies
& made up drivel/BS & sensationalistic lies/exaggerations, just to make ratings for NBC...
It's sad really, most of the news nowadays is sensationalistic/editorial-ism, political commentary !!!
Facts & the truth in reporting or vetting a stories facts today
or Real News & Actual Journalism is a thing of the past...

IMHFO It's no longer news !!
It's become objective, partisan, ideological, political drivel, for the most part now,
msnbc cnnbc nbc cbs abc cnn npr pbs current/al-jazeera,
are all the worst {main stream media sources}
But you need to watch occasionally, even if your repulsed, just to get a well rounded example,
some are far worse than others, it's up-to you to make up your own mind, who's bad & who's the worst,
who may actually tell both sides/actual facts or just read of the AP wire or print media drivel...
If nothing else, to actually know what the other sides says & does...
Yes & even some of Fox's news is too !!, but it's better than most IMO anyway...
{although the most watched & highest rated/respected, popular news/business channel now}

Seems like it's all for ratings, political spin, pushing an ideology & the $$$$$$$ anymore...
Integrity in news today is gone, for the most part, especially in the main/lame stream media...

my $0.02 cents "again"

Over 90% of what you can watch, read, or listen to is controlled by just 6 giant media corporations: Disney, CBS, GE, Viacom, Time-Warner, and News-Corp. This is down from 50 corporations in 1983.

Maybe in another couple decades we can get it down to just two, one for the Fox News faction, and one for the MS-NBC faction then it can mirror our two party system.

FOX News is actually more liberal than you might think. It just LOOKS conservative, when compared to the alphabet "news" networks.

I dont know about "liberal ", but definitely progressive

I dont know if it was mentioned, but the whole williams thing reminds me of hillary saying how she landed under sniper fire in Bosnia.

I never watched Fox News much until 2005 or so when the UN report on civilian casualties in Iraq came out. I was watching CNN and they reported that the report indicated that 50,000 or so civilians had been killed during the invasion. And while their announcer was talking they were showing video of US troops in combat. The implication here was clearly that US troops had killed 50,000+ civilians and I knew that was BS because I knew what our ROE were. Then I switched to MSNBC, and they were reporting the same story, and just as CNN did, they showed video of our troops in combat.

Then I switched to Fox News and they too were reporting the story, but without the video, and they didn't stop the story at just reporting that the UN said 50,000+ civilians were killed. Fox was the only news group that reported the UN went on to say most of the civilian deaths were the result of indiscriminate fire by Iraqi forces or the use of civilians as human shields by Iraqi forces. CNN and MSNBC had never mentioned that little tidbit of information. They just said the report stated those people had been killed, and used the video to imply they were killed by our forces.

That's when I figured out it's not just reporting or not reporting a story that shows bias, but also how a story is reported, and I became a loyal Fox viewer that day.

All of the mainstream media iceholes are cut from the same cloth.......just the others haven't been caught yet!:jerk::jerk::angryfire::icon_fU::icon_fU:

Look on the bright side, Brian Williams — now you’re the front-runner for this spring’s Profiles in Courage award.

Is a boffo new Steve Spielberg biopic already in preproduction: “Saving Private Brian”? — to cite an Internet joke yesterday.

Perhaps now the walking male mannequin can return to his roots at MSNBC in triumph — Mike Barnicle and the Rev. Al Sharpton will welcome him back with open arms. Maybe the three amigos can helm their own MSNBC show, “Fake but Accurate.”

First guest: Dan Rather.

NBC. Never Been Credible. Nothing But Crap. Remember the doctored 911 Trayvon Martin tapes? And Dateline’s exploding truck? And now Conflategate, because all Williams did was “conflate” a few facts. Now he says whatever happened was a “bungled attempt,” sort of like John Kerry’s “botched joke.” Both involved Iraq.

Williams told his whopper to “honor” the military. It was a “mistake.” It’s always a mistake. To quote Bill Clinton: “Mistakes were made.”

Brian Williams won’t be fired, of course, and he’d never resign. He has no shame, and he doesn’t think he did anything wrong. He just flat-out stole some valor, but in the moonbat community, that puts you in very rarefied company indeed.

Starting with Hillary Clinton, who claimed she came “under sniper fire” in 1996 in Tuzla, Bosnia. Yes, this is the same Hillary Clinton who claimed she once went down to the military recruiting office to join the Marines.

Williams’ card-carrying fellow travelers at Faux (as opposed to Fox) News are already circling the wagons. All day yesterday the Globe website was running this headline: “Williams changes story about Iraq war incident.”

Changes story? House Speaker John Boehner and Harvard professor Ben Edelman could not be reached for comment.

It used to be a big deal to get on one of the nightly network newscasts. That was a long time ago, about 25 million viewers ago. But one day, I got a call from the Nothing But Crap Nightly News. Some legislation to gut the Second Amendment was coming up and they wanted some radio talk-show response. C’mon up, I told them.

Having once worked as a reporter for the local See B.S. affiliate, I figure I have a pretty good ear for TV sound bites. But I always try to give New York a good selection to choose from. So my first hour — to make their deadline — I talked to 25 callers, 23 of whom were opposed to gutting the Second Amendment.

At 6:30 there I was, in a Lisa Myers piece about the gun legislation. She said something like, even conservative talk-show callers back Big Brother’s common-sense approach to disarming the American public. And then they played three of my callers, two of the two who were for gun control, and one of the 23 who didn’t want to screw around with the Bill of Rights.

Was I surprised that Brian Williams of Nothing But Crap News has now been busted? No, but I was very, very happy.

I have dealt with a few fabricators. When they tell the same several times, even THEy believe thier own BULL:toothy4: One of several DISORDERS:snorting:

What's really sad is I'm seeing a lot of reporters who's work I respect coming out in a quasi-defense of Williams. I suspect it's not because they respect him, or believe a word of his explanation, but because they are terrified that if they are caught embellishing a story, or innocently get something wrong, then the precedent will be set for them to be fired.

The truth is, Brian Williams was running shotgun alongside Snoopy while he was battling the Red Baron. That's the story.

I got 17 mopars, 3 corvettes, 7 harleys, 3 sex junkie young wives, and 1 ford/1 chevy i piss on daily.... FORGOT THE BMW'S, JAGS, AND 73 FOOT BOAT, AND PRIVATE PLANE...
