Another Radiator Support Black Out Question

Getting ready to black out radiator support area behind grille, but was wondering if the headlight bucket brackets stay body color or would have been blacked out also. 1970 RR

The cans or the orange bracket ? Original color is like gray / argent. Black em out, who's gonna see them.

I think they were chassis black when bolted to the painted body.

I know the actual buckets were like galvanized, but the brackets that they are mounted to.

I tore apart an original paint 70 Satellite and they were flat black . Your RR should be the same. I also parted a coronet (69) they also were black.
