First pass was encouraging. Lost fuel pressure about half track.
So far all your guesses are wrong....
 
Just threw some timing at it and picked up again...
 
So NSS Guy was correct that it might surprise me.
First pass went 11.52 . Stumbled off the hit then went ok.
Still breaking up a bit running down the track.
I should mention that we only got 1 timeshot before the race.
Back to the pits and I threw some timing at it. Removed power valve and squared jetting.
Need to take a call. Be back shortly
 
1st round I dial an 11.50. The guy I'm running goes red so I have a free shot.
11.26.
Takes a nose dive off the line then goes but still stumbled down track. Can't get it to rev past about 5300.
Didn't change anything for the next round.
Didn't run the number so I'm out . It ran 11.31.
Im absolutely sure if I swapped distributors this thing would go 10's.
At least now I have something to play with when my primary goes down again.
I'll probably throw rings and bearings in it over the winter and lock out this distributor and be ready for next time.
 
Technically, if NSS picked 10.9 verses a range, I would have been closest.

I meant that he was correct in assuming that the car may surprise me. And it did.

At start of the race, DA was around 300 ft.

What was your shift rpm? You said 6000 before, but is that what you did? and what trap rpm?

I set my shift light for 6000.
Put a rev limiter chip of 6300
I wouldn't even get to 5400 without stumbling so the shift light never went on.
