After a few years reading a million posts around here, a common theme emerges. People are always miserably wishing they hadn't sold a Mopar in their past. I can't even count all the times I've read "I sure wish I hadn't sold it!" or "The wife made me give it up, wish I'd gotten rid of her instead!"

I've only bought one Mopar, and I don't see myself ever selling it, so I have no experience with the pain of cars long past.

Has anyone on this board ever NOT regretted selling a Mopar? I mean a classic car, not a 1982 K Car. Stories, tales, experiences, bring 'em on!

the bad thing is.....i fall in love with 'em and dont wanna sell them......cars....not women...theyre a dime a dozen and i could very easily sell a woman and not bat an eye.......cars are a completely different story! whoa bundy

Bought mine in 79 and still got it.
Bought it for next to nothing and just thinking of what it would cost to replace it is scary.

One of my friends once traded a $700 truck for a 1 of 10 69 Hemi RR vert, then sold the RR two weeks later for 10K.
He was pretty happy about that.

While there were cars that I hated seeng go, I was thrilled to see my old Daytona go out the door last week.

...it took all of 2 moths for that 10K to evporate, and then he didn't even have a truck!

Interestingly, he did gain a wife during those 2 months.....

I too wish i could keep all of them. Sadly i dont have it like that. Currently i am toying with the idea of selling my super bee. I have a 68 charger currently undergoing a serious build and could use the money. And wanting to keep them all has nothing to do with being greedy, its like tpodwdog says, you fall in love them. Each has its own uniqueness about them and there is usually a story that goes along with how they were aquired. But, if selling the bee allows me to get the charger done, or done quicker, like in this lifetime, then i will make the sacrafice. Until its sold i will keep buying lotto tickets. If i win its mopars for everyone.

no regrets for selling the 70 Saty :)
Did have a 71 Challenger back in the day but again didnt really regret selling it at the time and still dont...LOL.. It would not be here with me today even I had not sold it so it doesnt matter.

i feel as if i'm at the age were i'm going to have to sell my cars. i dread it.

I was never happier than when I sold my 63 Dodge Polara 426 wedge 2 dr hdtp, why?
Because it was black and I hate black cars, never should have bought it in the first place but it looked good in pictures, but not at a car show after 5 minutes sitting outside in the bright sunlight showing every damn speck of dust!!!!
I will NEVER own another black car no matter how great the deal might be!

I can't remember any time that I NOT regret selling any of my Mopars. The ones I did sell were reliable and served there purpose. Of course they weren't classic.muscle cars either. The ones I not regret selling were some of my off brands and I regret not selling them sooner.

Had a 72 Challenger in 74 that I don't really miss but it would be cool to own it now. Sold it in 75. It was a 340 Rallye Pack car. Yeah, I've owned several in the more modern times that I wish I still had.....one being a 70 Challenger 440 RT ragtop that was fully loaded!

i have built many and sold even more.i almost treat each car like a small buisness now that i have done it so many times.only one or two i wish i still had and those had sentimental value.no regrets anymore, its all about the $$$$ now.

I'm not really an E body guy, so I probably regret getting rid of my 73 rallye 318 Challenger the least.

If I could have it back, I'd sure take it, but would probably sell it or trade for a B or A body.

To me the Es were more about styling. For performance you could get an A body- lighter nad faster, and still use the back seat.

I'm a big guy (6'3") and I like to tote stuff. I'm also a form follows function guy.

S7003151.jpgI bought this first hemi in 1975 for 1700.00 , from a friend who had destroyed the Hemi. ZThis was a 70 rt se one of 44 built. To this day i wish I had it. since the current owner is an idiot. Once you have one of these motors you cant live without em.

The only way that I could say that is to own the car of my dreams! (Not just sure what that would be :-/ )

me too...but it would be the right one for me...lol....ahhhhh....SUPERBIRD!!!!!!!!

i regret getting rid of all my old mopars, never happy. get to attached to them. its just one thing i love is cars, its my drug.
