Anyone ever Crock Pot a steak?

id rather cook outside inna hurricane than crockpot a steak lol !
I've cooked outside before on windy days....and don't like the crap that flies around on windy days and right now we have a ton of pollen raining down from all the oak trees.

BBQ is the only way to do steak....IMO
I like it done that way too....

you can wrap the steaks in tinfoil and flip them in the tinfoil once.
that keeps them juicy and the pollen off them
i have no idea what type of grill you have,
but mine is gas and takes about ten minutes tops for both sides.
thats a 4 burner grill only using one row.

Charcoal and wood and will probably use pecan.....heck, you have an outside gas stove lol :D

Put up a pic of the "steak," Cranky. Ill try and figger it out fer ya...

Searing the Steak will in fact help retain moisture before you put it in the Crock Pot Cranky. I myself am not averse to cooking a Steak that way at all. Meat is meat!!! Rendering it down doesn't change the taste and flavor at all but breaks down the muscle fibers so in essence it becomes like pulled Pork. For seasonings I prefer Garlic Powder, Salt and Pepper, and Worcestershire Sauce. I at times will use dry Onion Soup mix or go with a can of French Onion Soup and then let it thicken up. Easiest advise I can give is this...If one can "READ" one can cook. It really is that simple. Let us know how it turns out...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Doesn't everybody have a emergency/outdoor camping type stove for such and other reasons?
Every man woman and child :D My emergency cooking device is a propane burner....the kind you use for frying a turkey but my main emergency tool is a generator.

How heavy's that puppy? If it's 5+ Lbs. and you start it now, it might be ready by breakfast.

Seek out a couple videos on YouTube from Gordon Ramsay called "how to cook
a perfect steak". The results are amazing, especially if done in a cast iron skillet.
My wife and I actually prefer his method over the grille now.
Incredible taste and texture doing them his way.
My wife does steak and burgers in a cast iron skillet and they’re delicious. If I were gonna do it any other way, I’d throw it in a crock pot with a couple cans of cream of mushroom soup.... yum

Here's the video I was referring to. Quick and easy (and I usually skip the thyme part):
Oh...ribeye is our favorite.

It weighs about the same as a small Henways.....
Whatever a Henways is? After last checking just now, the only hit I get is Hen-ways. I didn't dig further on it. Have fun with it!

Mrs DeltaV says I thought you were reading a car forum? :poke:

Anyway, she said to do this:
Sprinkle steak with Montreal seasoning both sides. Pour 1/8th cup beef broth into crockpot. Lay steak on top. Put a large dollop of salted butter on top of steak. Cook low for 6 hours or high for four hours.

I might like crockpot **** when I have no teeth left! I hate dried out meat that needs sauce to make it slide down, **** that!
sauvee and then quick seer in skillet with butter if no charcoal barbecue option!

It looks like your goin to have ****-loads of leftovers!!
You planin on havin a FBBO Vrus Crock Pot Party sumtime soon???

No crock pot here. Smoke to 125° internal temp then reverse sear for a min. or two on each side.
