Anyone installed Spectra fuel tank naked / unpainted?

I'll take a picture this evening. I installed my Spectra tank naked about 2ish years ago... I live in NC so it sees rain, but not a lot of ice like you would in a Northern state.

I installed mine and will monitor it. If it begins to look like it'll rust up, I'll drop it and rust treat it and paint it. This is a fair weather car for me so hopefully it'll never see ice etc.

There's really no such thing as a "fair weather" car in FL (and I'm betting the Pacific NW).

At some point you WILL drive your car in the rain.

I'm not following.
Is correct appearance important?
This all seems like a lot of work just for corrosion resistance.
Why not stainless if available?
My second time around I did that with one from Vans.
It was actually more correct than a non-stainless one that I had put in 5 years earlier.
(The previous tank may or may not have been a Spectra.)
The vent line was too sort on the first one.
