Anyone know whose car this is

" A strategically placed column shifter allows fast gear changes"

AKA a factory column shifter, strategically placed by the factory to allow your grandma to easily put it in D and drive to the shops.

16 years? Now I understand why it takes so long to solve cases.

"This 1974 Dodge Coronet spent 16 years undergoing transformation by a retired law enforcer"

The thread title should be:
"Anyone know  whose car this is?"

Sorry but standards have been slipping since Kern Dog gave up his grammar correction policy.

Well, somebody should probably done do it! LOL

Any time "Hunter" comes up, I have to post Stephanie Kramer.
I had a girlfriend around that time that could have easily been her sister.
(I'd post an actual pic, but the one I have is, um "NSFW")

Anyway...YUM-

...and her car in the show-

That's the first one, an 84.
Later she had an 86, just like the one I had.

I liked it when Dede McCall's FWD Daytona Turbo Z would go sliding around corners with its tail out in downtown L.A.

I actually really liked the show. I have it on DVDs somewhere. Hunter's catch phrase was, "Works for me." I'm pretty sure you can buy a die-cast model of Hunter's car.

I'm trying to remember if any police detectives had cool cars. Private eyes did like Rockford. I remember Kojack had a Buick but it was a 4-door.

Sadly, Clint only drove Ferds in all of his movies :(
Pretty sure he crashed one like the Coronet into the building the thief wanted in one of his Dirty Harry flicks. Could have been a Plymouth. Been a long time since I saw it but I remember it being that color.

Depends on your definition of cool-

I wonder why a police 440 equipped car would have the 8.25" rear end?
Cause the 8 3/4 was done, and it didn't need a 60?
Edit: I think the last year for a 60 in a passenger car was 71, but it could have been 72. Anybody know for sure?

And that "cop car" was a 318 originally.

Ah, you're right. I just noticed the E44 code.

There was 8.25, 8.75 and 9.25 in 74. Being the car in question was a 318, 8.25.
60's were in 72, I know a guy that had a 72 GTX auto with a 60.
Also, last year of the long stroke/ manual transmission.
