I was happy with the high beam ones,
fit the cups right, and everything.

the low beam ones sit sidways in the cup.

has this happened to anyone else?

thanks.

I use them on my 68 RR. They both fit perfect, no issues. Sorry I don't have a diagnosis for you and why they don't slip right in.

thanks for the input. the fit right in, just sideways for the writing/orientation.

I think I have the wrong cup. It was in the high beam place, that did not fit right, swapped, and the high beam fit the cup right.

this one, in the postion to put the spring in the right attachment, has the bulb sideways.

oh well,
when you rescue you a car about to be parted out or scrapped,
three out of four headlights just right ain't bad.

(although my hassles with sorting out where my horn harness is and the hacked mess of the rear tailights harness and other stuff is getting old. for now, I can say after buying a pigtail, my drivers rear side marker light is wired the way it left the factory...)
