Anyone know if there is a difference in console shifters for a charger to a roadrunner for 1970. I installed a factory shifter back into my 1970 roadrunner with a factory console but my ashtray will only open 80% due to the angle of the shifter in park. thanks

Yes, even though most sellers (inc. the incorrect remakes) sell 66-70 console auto shifters as all being the same there are differences between a 66-68 B-Body, 69 B-Body and 70 B-Body console automatic handles and they carry different part numbers as well but the 70 handles are the same for a 70 Charger or 70 Road Runner so it sounds like you have a 69 and back shifter handle. If you end up needing a correct 70 handle with mechanism i should have one PM me
