I am going to put a B&M StarShifter in my 69 Coronet 500 with factory bucket seats. This is a non console car so I need to fabricate some sort of proper platform for the shifter to mount on which will center it between the front edges of the seats. I thought about buying a console and modifying it to whatever extent would be required but by the time I did that I would have way more into solving this simple problem than I want to spend. Just looking for some ideas or pictures anyone may have as to how others may have done this. Can't find much help on YouTube either. Any input would be appreciated.

Aluminum diamond plate is strong but easy to bend.
My neighbor has some left from a trailer he was working on.
Lowe's or like stores sell it too.
I need to shorten the front of my TCI cover for a better look.
