lol that crash where he wastes the entire front end was the only scene i did remember.
i was young when i saw that but even back then i couldnt figure out how that car was still driving after that.
 
I love the "jet intake" grill on those, and the GT sport hood on a fastback.

One of my neighbors/friends in the 1980's had a 302 notchback given to him by his aunt.

It actually hauled some *** for a midsize with a smallish v8.

I did like the looks of them Grand Torinos

I had a buddy with one (71 iirc) in HS he had a FE 390 c-6 auto
(I think he & his dad put in it, a rich kid from Eldorado Hills )
my 68 Charger R/T would blow it away, he thought it was fast
he never stopped trying, but never beat me either
 
My 71 torino GT unmolested original paint 351C shaker car really didn't live up to the 351C "mystique", either.

...but it was a nice car.
