Be honest on this A 12 repo hood

Well I got this new hood from a guy said it was not painted right .
I been wet sanding it for 3 night now with grey pad and ajax .
What doe you guys think ?
I can take it I promise. Lol

What is the goal? and what was wrong with the paint before?
An original hood was a textured satin black.
