Ok...so I have my 440 motor rebuilt and want to break it in on the run stand before putting it in the car. My car has a 727 so I borrowed a bell housing and flywheel from some friends to run it on the run stand. The bell housing is a Lakewood style blow proof and the flywheel is a stock fly wheel. After bolting the starter, it appears that the starter will not connect with the flywheel because the flywheel is too small. I was told that the Lakewood style bell housing takes an 11" flywheel and the stock flywheel is 10.5". Can anyone confirm this? I have a buddy that has a small block bellhousing that I can borrow if it will work. Can anyone confirm if that will work? thanks in advance for your help
