I had a german shepard who i rescued back in 1980.
Very similar in behavior and just as smart. the things she could do were incredible.

Had a dog in the mid 70's to the mid 80's that brought more joy to my life than any human could/would ever do! My kids brought a lot of joy too but they also brought a lot of grief.

Very Cool video, Thanks for sharing... I'm a big time dog guy, I've always had a dog usually Labs... I have a 13 year old chocolate lab "Buddy", that catches & plays with squirrels, some times birds, carries them around in his mouth, never hurts them, drops them in his water bowl, but then just lets them go, the squirrels are around here all spring & fall, it's a crack up to watch & the squirrels seam to like the playing, the birds not so much... I don't have a video camera & I'm not very good at photography period... I will try to catch him in the act, probably next spring now, winter is coming fast, the squirrels will be few & far between now, the old brown dog is getting older & slower by the day, maybe next spring if Buddy's still around, I hope...

Wow! What kind of pooch was that? I love my dog too. His name is Sweet William. He is an English Setter/Aussie Shepherd mix that I got from ACES [Another Chance for English Setters], a Setter rescue group. Drove to Virginia to pick him up. My step-mom fostered him there after he was found on the side of the road in the Carolinas. We brought him back to a good rural life here in the thumb of Michigan. He is a house dog. He doesn't know a lot of tricks, but thats my fault. He is a good listener though! He loves the pick-up rides on the dirt roads and barking at the wildlife. I had no idea that a dog could bring this much joy to my life. Thanks for the "feel good" post SUPERSTOCK!

your welcome. i love my pets. they always greet me at the door and always know when you need a cheerup. they are never in a bad mood and are always happy to see you. theres nothing better than that imo.
the little one is miss pinky, thats her right before she had surgery to cut cancer out of her leg. shes 6.5 now and doing great. i love her more than life itself.

I love it on those crappy days when I lay on the couch, and William just puts his head on my leg and gives me the puppy dog eyes. Wife says that if I am late, he still goes to the couch and rests just his head on it!
