How many of the songs we posted over the 5 years of this thread were created during / immediately after the Vietnam War? Damn crazy time but it sure was creative.
Okay. I'm a bit off the wall with my music tastes. Here goes;
Smash Mouth: Walking On the Sun
Alice Francis: St James Ballroom
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy: Why Me
BR;549: To Lazy To Work
Brian Setzer Orchestra: Jump Jive And Wail
Kid Rock: Summertime
Speakeasies Swing Band: Bright Lights, Late Nights
The Speakeasy Three: When I Get Low, I Get High
The Venga Boys: Sha la la la
Squirrel Nut Zippers: Ghost Of Stephen Foster
Led Zepplin: The Immigrant Song
AC/DC: Thunderstruck
Boston: Long Time
ELO: All
ZZ TOP: ALL
STyx: ALL
....all great ones guys! Like many of you I could go on and on...my musical tastes are all over the map so I'll just put one out there, for a pure guitar riff...
Thunderstruck is all ways cool when watching Pro Mods at the track. There're doing their "burndown" with each other and they're blasting Thunderstruck through the PA speakers, really gets you all pumped up!
My favorite riff is TNT. The lyrics; "So lock up your daughter Lock up your wife Lock up your back
door And run for your life" cracks me up!
As a guitar player, my brain went into overload when I saw this thread. You folks have nailed so many great riffs! I didn’t see this one, might have missed it as some links didn't work, but every time I listen to this...I love it!
