Boat Pics

I hear what your saying,my 27' footer looks like a dingy in our marina. To tell you the truth i kind of like it that my,i learned a long time ago that the expression " keep it simple ,stupid" is a valid one( for myself anyway). My boat only has one bbc and will only hit about 34mph,oh well, less fuel the way i see it.It was very well cared for by the previous owners and i got it from a guy who just wanted out. Right time, right place for a change. That boat new is probably about 130k ,mine was 10,500 and it really looks like a newer boat if you didn't know. They have their fun bragging about what they got and how much it was and i have my fun putting around the bay thinking about all the money i saved ( for cars). At the end of the day we're all out on the same water with the same sun with the same capacity to have fun or not ,it's all in how ya do it.
Well said and a very sweet boat you have there!! Thanks for sharing !!

I think I got shrinking footitus. started with this and ended up racing a 12 footer which I found out is just as hard on an old mans body!

of Pete & Marlene's championship winning Crazy horse drag boats

Had a decent jet boat in the early 90's. Got pics somewhere if I can find them. 78 model Mariah hull, 454 with single carb TR, Bassets etc....can't remember the pump but it wasn't a Berkeley. A friend and I machined the pump when the boat belonged to another employee at the plant. Tightened up the impeller clearances using Belzona in the pump case and machining new rings and machined a new 17-4 shaft and did a couple of other small mods. According to the owner, it never went as fast. Ended up for sale about a year later and I went to look at it......and dragged it home.

It’s now back home and in the water today! It sure is smooth running and the 200 Hp gets it on plane fast.
