Body styles where your tastes have Evolved?"

I like most all B bodies, and own quite a few. My favorites are 66-67 Satellites and GTX'S. My 62 Dart just struck a bell with me. The Superbird was a long time wish come true. The 67-69 A bodies are another favorite. I have restored 2, 70 RR's both great cars, but found them easy to let go of when great offers came. I had a 68 RR Hemi 4-speed, but had no remorse when I sold it. 68-70 B bodies are great, don't get me wrong. In 68's, I prefer the Dodge over the Plymouth. I have never had a 69, but an A12 Superbee would be cool. The two makes and models I find myself looking more at today than in the past are the 64 Dodge Polara 500 and the 66 Chargers. My interest in those have increased a lot.

So this "Evolving tastes" is natural to most all. (I still think the 2 big wing cars Superbird and Daytona are esthetically silly looking. Lol)

Watching the Mecum auction. And some of the high $$ late 20s to late 30s cars. High end Cadillac, Packard. Let alone the highest of that era of Bugatti, Rolls Royce, Duesenberg. I'm afraid to say? That era was the highest build quality of all time? Custom coach masterpieces. I would be scared to have the job of just polishing?

Gotta agree with that. I would much rather have a 69 charger 500 than a wing car. And yes,I know I am in a very small minority.

That's only because of today’s value. There was a reason they didn't sell well in the day. Just "Too much" You can definitely over "Bling" any build. It looked in the day Chrysler did that out of the factory? Public unaware it was for superspeedway performance.

It was the 68-69 B bodies that got me started. They are still great, but there is nothing like the Exner cars 57-61. I think the 61 Chrysler Newport 2-door hardtop is the most beautiful car ever made inside and out.

I’ll have to say that I’ve always preferred the earlier Bs. A little harder to find parts for though. Kind of like the Plymouths.

I still like the same body style as before. Nice hourglass shape, long legs and a nice rack. Err wait, we talking about cars here?

Of course my favorite is 71 72 Satellite and Road Runners. I think the 72 rear actually ties it in with the front much better. The 71 looked rushed to production, to me. I love them all though, A, B’s, C’s E’s J’s M’s. If it’s Mopar, I like it, only had 5 none Mopars, 1 GMC pickup, two years, 1 GMC Step van with a Grumman body and three International trucks. The Hudson I bought for my dad is now in the Mopar family, so that counts, and the 2 automatic Internationals had torqueflites, so there ya go!
