Brake pedal

Hi guys I was looking under the dash today, and I noticed this at the brake pedal ... is it my brake lights ? I also noticed a wire not connected to the other end and there just happens to be a wire hanging near it also does this wire go on at other end ? Also where would I be able to but the bracket holding the little switch ? This one is pretty bent out of shape and old.

In my '70 cars, the brake light switch is powered by a reddish pink and a white wire. Looks like that is what you have there.
