This involved a barely 17 year old Laura Welch who later became future first lady Laura Bush and is married to George W Bush. The media was all over it but this happened in 1963 and politics was not involved to slander the young lady and ruin her life even though she has suffered all her life for the tragedy. The teenage boy who was killed was a classmate and close friend to Laura.

Your welcome. My point is the tragedy was not followed by a right wing cover up nor was it swept under the rug in avoidance of political fallout. The country as a whole during this time in history still had a glimmer of moral conscience. The proof being that the left today would have been all over it and beat a dead horse whether is was an accident or not had she been a political figure from the right. Also, I wanted to clarify that the person involved wasn't Barbara Bush.

IMO & most I'd think, he/she should have been indicted, arrested
& prosecuted, for manslaughter accident or not,
ignorance/incompetence isn't a legal defense,
there's not one law for celebrities or D)'s politicians {we all know whom}
some that have gotten away with literal murder/manslaughter
& another law for everyone else...
Lets just get an indictment, go & arrest him,
they should have afterwards anyway, his celebrity status kept him out,
especially if they had eyewitnesses "allegedly had",
then go get a warrant check his suspected cell phone,
see if he was texting or sexting, emailing or reading
while he's supposed to be driving !!!
Then let a jury decide his/it's fate,
not the limp wristed bias MSM media, his type of people...

They'll protect their own, especially a Kardashian clansman....

Ted Kennedy got away with it, if were going to be responsible than lets call it as it was. Its always the same with money and power. As far as Jenner i agree that he is a "media whore" very true. However id also say he was throughly investigated and if there was a chance the authorities could prove he was texting it should/ would result in his arrest. Thats not to say he wasn't texting or talking on a phone. Honestly i have to say its been difficult to avoid hearing about these people but i try my best to tune them out.
