My 68 Riviera was a Bitchin' ride!! Was boat but it didn't float....son of a bitch laid into a groove quite nice.
I also had a 72 skylark 350.
Wandered all over the road.
No headroom for the size car it was.
Looked 95% like the blue gs pictured above.
Lol! I had a '70 GP for a while too I bought from my brother. Front end looked like it never ended sitting behind the wheel. On that Riv, I drove that some and ended up hitting a mailbox that was built to withstand a nuclear blast one late night. My dad wasn't too thrilled; but he was a type B guy and he had his 'mishaps' in his youth like totaling his beautiful '40 Ford coupe one night when he was dating my mother. She broke up with him; lucky for me she forgave him getting back together!mine started out as a 350 car too.
first i had a 8.5-1 comp 455 now it has the 10-1 big dog 455.
also, you are quite right about the headroom.
for some reason, the bench seats position you too high in the car.
if you have buckets, its fine...no clue why buick did that.
as far as the wandering, worn front end?
@RonH those rivs with the boattails were gourgous cars..
back when Style was a goal, and not a dim thought like nowadays.
they were a lot like the pontiac grand prix, and those had 428-s too i think.
