Build Thread for my 68 Coronet R/T Convertible

Looks fantastic!

I'm sure that will help motivate the build even more and get that beautiful car back on the road - keep up the good work!

Todays video....
We had hoped to apply the butt stripe but it turned out the stripe that I bought in 2003 had permanently bonded with the backing paper.... New stripe is ordered... We'll install it in a few days....

That looks more shiny than the last time that I saw it.

I like this horizontal view like this:

Some people may not know that when you record video with a phone, it usually records the video in a vertical format. Cars end up looking like this:

You have to admit that the narrow image does not look as good as this does:

It is a simple fix. Just do this when recording a video:

It will make the image fill the screen nicely.
Great looking shine on the car. It's going to be fantastic!

I don't know about tapping the phone, maybe that is a function mine doesn't have.
I record almost everything in traditional widescreen mode because it just looks better that way. Every TV screen, movie screen, desktop and laptop computer, dash cam, closed circuit camera are all widescreen, not vertical but for some odd reason, the phones are programmed to record in vertical/portrait mode.

I'll bet that car looks even better up close. It is funny that Randy isn't a huge fan of red but has TWO beautiful RED cars!

I’ve heard that comment many times now,,, that red just makes me want to eat it , it’s so candy like through out this project. No burn through I can sleep now.. nice car Randy my friend!!

"Burn through"...Man, I have been there before.
It takes patience and skill to make these cars look this good. Nobody I know just sprays and assembles a car. The standard went up over the years. When an unrestored car is parked right next to a modern job with zero orange peel, the difference is night and day.
