building permits

My Building Permit:

I just applied for a building permit for a new house.

It was going to be 100 ft tall and 400 ft wide with 9 turrets at various heights and windows all over the place and a loud outside entertainment sound system.

It would have parking for 200 cars and I was going to paint it snot green with tatty pink trim.

The City Council told me to go to hell.

So I sent in the application again, but this time I called it a Mosque.





Work starts on Monday..

it is sad .....problem is we as a nation put way to much emphasis on Ideals rather than reality. uke:

Most folks SHOULD be torn by this. We do believe our rights, therefore, we must grant those rights to others in our country. Dont mean we gotta like it all the time. Perhaps, if you are NOT a citizen, you could be granted rights under an international accord of human rights, but NOT constitutional rights, reserved and bestowed upon CITIZENS of the United States

Uh, who said that the mosque wasn't to be built by third generation American citizens? I had Lebanese friends whose family had moved to Tyler, Texas in the early 1900s. For that matter, the re-application could be for a big white house with stained glass windows and a big cross on top. Or a Star of David in the window.

Last I heard we do have freedom of religion....The right to bare arms also...Let them build their mosque...I still got my guns!!!!!!We are a country of muts...We all come from somewere else...Other than the american indians..We are a diverse country with diverse religeons...Just my two cents....,

So let me get this straight, because some fanatical terrorist muslims attacked on 9/11 there is a problem with a mosque being built near ground zero. Following that logic the Nazi's also fanatical terrorists who caused a great many more death's who happen to be Catholic, Have they banned churches from any area that contained concentration camps? Maybe I don't get it because I am Canadian but I thought your constitution protects religious freedom, or does that not apply to religions you don't agree with? First up, what you and most everyone here doesn't get is the "Mosque is not the whole picture and is only part of the problem because of it's location which is several blocks away from the actual site and it's religion.

Our is protecting them because there building it no matter who sez what. The Iman IS second guessing building it.

Now, this last sentence you wrote allmost erks me to death. You lost brothers and sisters that day being a fireman.

Please tell me, how many BLOOD brothers and sisters did you bury from that day? How many cusions did you personnnaly loose that day. How many aunts and uncles did you help carry to the grave site?

These things I did. You did nothing!

And don't start ragging on our constitution.
