I am looking for the plastic bushing for the rotating headlights on 66-67 Chargers. I also could use the bushing/light housing support/pivot that the bushing rides on. (The part with two screws that is accessible from the turn signal housing location) Are these sold aftermarket for am I going to need to find a good used parts? THANKS!

I may have several used bushings, unsure abt the other part u r mentioning, can u add photo on here ? The brackets etc are all side specific. As far as the plastic bushings, unsure how to get the wiring separated. the terminals look as if they will allow pushing the wires thru but not with drawing in order to remove the connecter and allow wiring to be removed from housing to get the bushing ?? Do not want to cut and splice, will look today to see if there is a way. Anyone else reading this ? please feel free to advise thanks again :)

I had wondered about the wiring myself. The other part I was referencing has the wire going through it as well. The bushing sits on it. Basically it's the hinge opposite the motor side of the rotating bucket. I will try to snap a pic the next time I am out in shop. Thanks

I ordered new bushings off e-bay and the fit was perfect. Because I wanted to clean up and repaint the black on both bucket halves, I cut the wires to get the harness loose from the bucket. I re-spliced with soldier and a double wrap of heat shrink tape. Make sure to use the same gauge of wire.

Thanks guys. I found some on ebay. I looked the other night and didn't find any.

Good, glad you found some, mine are showing there age........I do have some that have wiring that is already cut and a mess so would not be a big deal to get the bushings. Do you remember what terms you used to find the bushings, so many different ways to access parts.........can be very frustrating at times

I have not looked at the wiring a whole lot. The bushings come as a pair and I only need one side. I may try to split the bushing on one side and slide it over the wires. I could then just JB Weld ( the quick stuff) the bushing back together. It is not like it is a high speed, high load application.

The idle shaft is the other part I could use. I am trying to attach a pic.

I agree about possibly splitting one edge, do believe that work easily, mine may be to brittle ? Will sell the bushing and idle shaft for 10$ and shipping, will not add handling etc what it cost to ship is what it will be. Hope to add pics today

Okay, just now figured this out, but still will send after you look at these pics and do want, sorry the idle shaft is out of focus, hope you can see the slight bend towards mounting side. The gap on the bushing while on the shaft............

That should work. Somehow my idle shaft got cracked across the mounting holes. It's not completely broken but not good.

theses parts were actually on the mock up I am doing and as I tested the motors they did not show any wobble etc., course the turn is slow, so may not notice anyway. They will be in the mail Monday via USPS..........

Dragrazor, Thanks man. I will get the check in the mailbox today. I got my whole system to function yesterday and it is pretty cool to see it work. The motor on the side with the bad bushing is kind of slow. It had an issue with the ground brush connection and had been hot.

In case anyone wants to know. I did buy the ebay bushings. I split one of them on one side and it was plyable enough to bend around the wires. It worked perfectly and cannot go anyplace once assembled. I thought I would share. Thanks.
