Yeah but is it all due to inflation or also greed?
Think about that.
Businesses have been shut down.
Those that are still open, are forced to pay exorbitant wages just to get people to apply. Why? The government has paid people to stay home for 2 years. Why work, when you can take from the government for simply sitting on your fat ***?
Business expenses have skyrocketed. Supply chain shortages. Fuel costs for deliveries that ARE going through. Price of goods and materials are through the roof.
If it costs you more to make the product, and deliver the product, it will cost more to the end user to BUY the product. Doesn't matter what it is.
The government is printing money (literally) with these "recovery" and "stimulus" programs (see above, "paying people to stay home"). What happens when you have more of a particular item, out there in the world?
Each one is worth significantly less.
1 of 1 hemicuda convertibles are worth more than Toyota Camrys, because there are a ****-ton MORE Camry's running around.
Same is true for currency. Put more of it in circulation, each dollar is worth less. That, is called inflation.
Charging more for your product, because it costs you more to
produce and
provide that product, isn't called "greed".
It is
also called "inflation".
