Cam break-in was almost successful!

THIS project is total redneck and I really dig it.
Engine run stand sponsored by Home Depot, exhaust system inspired by annoying neighbors that don't appreciate hot rod sounds and a NAPA brand battery just for good measure.
Heck yeah....

I'm glad to hear you appreciate my ingenuity! If I was a whiz with a welder I might have done something different. But, I'm not. Working in construction I have access to all the free wood I need. It was a design as you build thing and solid as a rock!
I had to click on this when I saw the word "almost!"
Pretty solid test stand I would trust it.
Hey you need some slip plate graphite on those manifolds

Exhaust manifold paint / anti-seize

I'll look into the slip plate. The engine didn't even wiggle on the stand. And, it was free!

I set 2 plug wires on fire, trans cooling line was only finger tight and I snapped my throttle cable on first fire up.
This **** is definitely nerve wracking! It's the first engine I've ever built from a bare block. Nothing stock about it inside but looks stock outside except for ARP head bolts and stealth heads.

Being a carpenter, you should hammer together a car frame and drive that thing around like a go kart lol

And, here's some video! I thought I was to stupid to post a link to a video, but I figured it out! I ran it again today for an uneventful 15 minutes.
