Can I pull my a-833 without a trans jack? Any other tips???

Great minds think alike, I dropped the 833 out of my Roadrunner 5 years ago, rebuilt it and ended up making this to help balance on the floor jack when putting back in. It kept wanting to roll over on me. The holes are for some rope to hold it all together.:VB toast:

I used 4 12-14" long threaded rods to guild the trans in with a floor jack.....

Good news guys, I got the trans out. I did it with 4" long 7/16 bolts in the bellhousing, and a floor jack with a square of 2X4 nailed together and strapped to the jack. Then a ratchet strap over top of the trans attaching it to the homemade trans jack..
Did the job in 2 installments, all solo.
Now to tear the trans down... again...

Thanks for the help guys!

Swapping out an 8 3/4 chunk using that method is a lot easier but using a jack with that is even easier! Man, to be young, dumb, broke and single again lol

Lol. Those methods work pretty good if they go in quickly. If you struggle or get hung up it is too easy to get winded and shaky. I did my latest 8 3/4 chunk install and thought I was going to die.pretty much doing benchpresses in close quarters with a rounded, greasy hunk of steel.

Lol, I still have an old electric guitar body I used on a floor jack backin the 80's. I should find a neck and make it back into a guitar grease marks and all. I also remember pulling transmissions at the upull it yard alone. I'd put a rear seat under it and let it drop then fnaggle it into the wheel barrow. ha ha
