I put this new pan on my tranny...Man it sits low...Can I just crank up the toirson bars for some added clearence???How will this affect handling of the car?I,m sure I,lll have to take it in to have the caster and camber reset...Any suggestions???

Thanks for the input!!!!!:edgy:

adjusting up or down will have an affect on the camber, set the ride height where you like it, then have the front end re aligned

Regarding the handlng my car got a little wallowy when I raised the front up. But it's ok to drive I mean it's not like it handled any good to begin with!

Make sure you jack the car up and take the weight off the front tires when making your adjustment.

Yeah i know what you mean about handling...I,ll have to loosen up my front sway bar when I change the stance also...Then readjust the sway bar after I,m done...My wife is gonna scream after it,s all said and done but she,ll get over it....Thanks for all the input guys!!!!!

I'd be sure to tell the alignment shop that you set the height for a reason. Some shops will crank the bars back to the "factory" setting as part of the allignment.

Raising the car should increase negative camber just a bit and will also increase toe in. Too much toe in will reduce handling but increase negative camber should help improve it once the toe is set correctly. HitIt....check your toe in....you might have too much. Also check to make sure you don't have positive camber. Having both will really make it handle like crap. I usually run my cars with a lot of negative camber and my 66 Belvedere didn't have a sway bar and it still cornered pretty dang good. Having good shocks helps too.

Cool, yeah I got the edelbrock ias shocks....I,ll tell the guys at the shop why i raised the car in the first place....hopefully it,ll still handle pretty good...
Thanks for the help!!!!

My 70 Super Bee had worn upper control arm bushings, 14" radials on the front, and 10" L 60 15 bias ply on the back with a 3:55 gear.

It handled like a giant go-kart. I could steer the rear end with the throttle during hard (sliding) cornering.

Made many a Mustang GT chicken out through curves back in "the day".

I knew EXACTLY when the rear was going to come loose.

I wouldn't trade that handling for the world, and hope I can get my "new" 66 383 car to perform simillarly ('cept for the L60 15 of course).

I feel that Eastwood has good products and feel they are worth the money but I have found other good products that did the same thing and was a bit cheaper. detmatt found their rust converter was less than POR 15. They do sell some products cheaper than others. You just have to shop some if you are on a budget. BTW, I like POR 15 but feel it's over priced....
