My newly acquired roadrunner with a 440, no power, won't firm tires with brakes applied, but other wise starts easy and runs decent, I checked to see if secondaries were opening, n park yes, put it n low and floor it, it shoots flame, dies, then it starts right back up, no vacuum leaks have been found, new plugs, cap, rotor, its a thermoquad. Any help

Could be a lot of things, but I would check the accelerator pump in that Thermoquad first to see if it is working properly.

Make sure timing is right, if so do like moparsmitty says and check the accelerator pump. Carb may just need a complete rebuild. What year runner is it? Is it supposed to have a TQ?

It's a 72, 440, not sure if thermoquad is correct or not

Can you post some pics? Maybe the carb number? The number is on the driver's side rear corner of the base plate. It will be 6XXX or 9XXX maybe with an "S" behind it. Like 9801S for example.
