I got this carb off if eBay years ago knowing I would be rebuilding it. It looked like it was never taken apart, but now I'm not so sure.
3 questions:
1 - There was no spring behind the fuel strainer behind the inlet fitting. Normal, or did they all have one?
2 - There is a slot for a baffle in each bowl, but only the side nearest the inlet (passenger) had a baffle. I couldn't see any witness marks where a baffle might have been on the driver side. Should both sides have one?
3 - The secondary jets are the same size as the factory (.095"). The primaries are also .095", but are the short jet with 2 step rods. I was under the impression that this carb would have had the tall jets with 3 step rods. It's still has the dimpled piston/rod covers and not the flat ones. Thoughts?
Thanks guys!
