I have a Carter fuel pump for a B/RB engine. I would like to get a rebuild kit but the only numbers on the pump are MO 1634. Does anyone know what vehicle the pump came on? Where to get a repair kit?

rev, i dont think they do.. i scoured some places looking for some and couldnt find any. but, my search was not that intense either.

That part number doesn't ring a bell, but I know that Mancini is offering the once popular Carter 6903 pumps. IIRC they also offer a rebuild kit for it, but I don't see it on their site. Maybe if your pump is the same style & shape as the 6903, the kit would work. It's a long shot though.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Bought a new Bosch fuel pump for my Satellite--turns out it IS a Carter fuel pump in a Bosch box.
Made in the good ol USA.

I wanted to rebuild mine a few months ago (hole in the diaghram) and was told that other than the Mancini, rebuild kits are no longer available

Isn't there a guy on the east coast that rebuilds pumps? The guy that has the springs to lower fuel pressure, or up it.

Most OEM pumps can't be rebuilt. The aftermarket carters are easy, but original type parts aren't available.

I bought a kit from Then and Now Automotive in MA (Post 12). Great to work with and his how-to videos are excellent.
