Center Console resto?

Hello All,
Looking for some advice or perhaps a redirect to a previously answered question.
"1970 Charger 500" need to resto my center console can you folks offer any tips tricks or advice on how to do it successfully?
Align the door
Refurbish the black lines
Any real world advice appreciated.

What is the actual condition of the chrome, most everything else is cleanup and paint

Are you going for top notch, or driver quality? For driver quality, I taped off & spray painted the black area. I also bought some woodgrain overlays that go on top of what's already there, reproduction boots and a reproduction door hinge. If your console key matches your glovebox and trunk, oil that sucker up and use it. I've seen some key sets "somewhere" that have the matched console lock, but most sets I see do not.

To do a top notch job, other guys on this board can help you better than I can. I did mine the cheap way
