I've always had good luck with Champion plugs. I went to install a new set of plugs (actually old un-used plugs I had in my garage).

I noticed I have 4 plugs that are Champion RS12YC and 4 plugs that are RJ12YC. What is the difference?

J uses a 13/16 hex, S uses a 5/8 if I'm remembering correctly... I believe the J series are a shorter reach plug also..like 3/8"

Thanks guys. I will take a closer look one vs. the other. I sure don't want any unexpected piston/plug interference when I fire it up.

ANSWER: you both are correct. The RS12YC plugs have a 5/8" base and also have longer threads (protrude into cylinder farther)
