I'm finally finishing up my dash restore and I'm having trouble with my radio. Is there a bracket that sop purrs the back of the radio to the dash frame? Is there some sort of support plate that goes behind the bezel? I can't find anything in my service manuals.

Thanks, pictures would be great.

There is a vertical support that is part of the dash frame. The stud in the back of the radio fits into the slot, and a nut is tightened.

Thanks bee. I see the bracket but it doesn't seem to line up with the bolt. I'll try to post a pic.

Any comment on the bezel plate. Does the radio attach to the plastic bezel with the knob nuts?

What year? Usually the radio bolts to the dash frame, and the finish plate screws to the dash. The knobs on 70 and later just push on the shafts, and the 69 and earlier are thumbwheels.

This is the backside of the dash frame

You could be missing an additional bracket with a hole and stud to reach the dash brace.

No bend at all. Now that you mention it, this was a factory 8 track car. They had a different dash?

Thanks for the photo.
