Can someone please run me though a detailed/simplified instructions to check if my cam is installed correctly, to save me having to pull the front cover off if its not needed. i have no intake manifold on at the moment.

i think this is slightly causing my low power problems in my 505

You will need a degree wheel, dial indicator with 1" travel and a way to accurately find TDC. Basically you roll the crank around until the #1 intake lobe is .025" before max lift. Write down the degree reading. Then roll in the same direction until you are at .025" past max lift and write down the degree reading. Add these numbers together and divide by two. The answer will be the ICL (intake lobe centerline).

thanks meep I got a cam degreeing kit, going to check it soon, just swapped out my intake and carbs for a ported rpm intake and a prosystems 1000cfm custom built carb but something tells me my cam has been 1 tooth out this whole time.
going to be bagging the tyres up in all 4 gears soon hopefully instead of only first haha
