Christmas Decorations - Who's Already Done

I don't go crazy without kids here anymore
I have a lil' 3' tree 'fake tree' pre-wired sets up in like 2 min.s
take it out of the box, set it on a small folding leaf
(old hardwood from Brazil)
an end table I made in the 7th grade, puts a towel around the bottom
& it's ready to go

I used to decorate this tree (blue spruce), & I did the deck & facia &/or window trim in front...
I no longer do that...
Especially with what the (electricity) PG&E prices today, 300%+ to 400%
3-4 times what it was when I moved here, it'd be a couple hundred a month to do it now
it's way taller & bigger around now too, photo is 13 years old

this (below) is, the old standby, it's my dad's, he's had it for 50+ years now
it works just fine, for 2 single old farts, empty nest

I'll put it up in a week or 2, probably

Pretty nice lookin tree there… and cat too, I like em! Our cats inspect our tree more than the presents. Good foosball game too, I ain’t a sports guy besides ice hockey but I really hope the cowboys creamed kc… I can’t stand ‘em.

Put the fake tree and outside decorations up yesterday before the Thanksgiving feast began in the afternoon at my brother in-laws, he lives next door.
