The stuff has bentonite in it, works by breaking down, breaking down, as you use it so it gets finer and finer. Been around long time from Eastwood.

Cerium oxide paste, an orbital sander, some glass polishing pads, and three hours per side window. It will take 5-10 passes, and you will not see improvement until after the second pass, most probably. This is what it took on my GTO before I could get off all the 50-year-old water spots. Absolutely nothing else worked, and I did try everything. I eventually concluded the reason was that the water spots were in fact ETCHED into the glass, not raised from the glass. So the only way to remove them was to actually remove enough material from ALL of the glass evenly until the "sea level" of the glass had passed below the depth of the deepest water spot.
