68 Charger…new Tanks Inc EFI tank and assembly. I have a returnless system. There is a vent nipple on the pump mounting plate, another vent nipple on top of tank itself. Tanks Inc says i can cap both the return nipple & vent nipple on the pump mounting plate, but run a hose to rollover valve/vent from the tank nipple, and mount valve above the tank.
Instructions say mount rollover valve at filler neck top height??? Thats the top of the quarter panel!
Other “forums” are saying do not use the rollover valve since it won’t be high enough and could “syphon”??

Keep in m ind the rollover is open to atmosphere and will vent fumes. So you want that OUTSIDE the vehicle - not in the trunk.

Since the filler is so high on the Charger, if you fill your tank right to the top then yes, it would pour out the rollover if it isn't at least that high.

How does the stock Charger vent work/route. I would just use that and pass on the rollover.

Stock 68 charger vent is from the top of filler neck down thru the trunk floor, dumps into the frame wall.
I installed a homemade pvc charcoal filled cylinder inline of that vent hose. But that was for stock fuel tank, now an efi intank pump fuel tank

My point is that the rollover is "optional". The system will still work with the factory setup (I have an "in tank" pump in my 69 RR - using the stock vent with no rollover). The purpose of the vent is primarily to allow air to replace the fuel as its used. Venting the fumes is just an evil necessary byproduct! Cap the Tanks vents and use the factory one.

If "rollover" really concerns you, find an appropriate-sized check valve and install that in the line somewhere - I'd mount it pretty close to where it comes out the filler neck.

Sent them an email this morning….
Was thinking of this plan, would it work or any kind of danger?

Since this is a "Tanks Inc" tank, it probably doesn't have the stock type vent lines installed in it.

So ...
Run the hose from the tank nipple to where the stock tank vent line would attach. Forget the roll-over.

MR gkent…. FYI
Tanks Inc said same thing. Liked my diagram LOL. Instead, he said cap the vent on the fuel pump housing, and just use the “tank vent”…. Run it up to my vapor canister and tee it into existing factory vent….
