Converting a 72 Satellite to a Roadrunner.

it's your car, do what makes ya happy, the ssp should have buckets, console w/ slap stick and a rallye dash. i will tell you the #'s of SSP's produced is pretty close to the # of roadrunners produced. so many people have cloned them in to rr's, they are getting pretty rare in their own right.

i could be wrong, was looking at the alum trim on the side of the car, isnt that a 1 year only piece for the 72 ssp??

Have fun with that '72. I've got a '71 SSP, I love it, but they can be a strange mix, even before anyone modifies them. Mine has a 383 two barrel, heavy duty transmission, 26"radiator, seven blade fan, 6/7 leaf springs, and 8 and 1/4 rear end. Rally dash with 150 speedo, but no tach. Buckets, but no console. Most seems to be original, but the build sheets are long gone. Mine's getting rough, but I still enjoy the crap out of having it!

FL is hard on roofs, drip rails, cowls, and anywhere that catches rain like windshield troughs.

Soggy sandy soil can eat up the underside as well if it's not on a concrete surface.

I have a 71 SSP. I'm on the same boat as some of the others.. Pretty soon they will have been all cloned into RRs or GTXs and the SSP will be an uncommon site.

I have a 71 SSP and a 72 SSP and have no interest in cloning them. Sorry to hear man about the other car getting stolen that suuuucks.
