Hart-Parr tractors and later Olivers were made not far from.ehere I live. John Deeres are also made nearby me.

I have a friend, Art who's is in his late 60s, Arts father fathered him when he was in his late 50s. No ****. Arts dad was born around 1900.
Arts dad worked for Hart- Parr tractor company (Hart- Parr consolidated with Oliver in 1938) and later Olivers.
Arts dad spent 3 years in Russia from 1920-23 working for Hart-Parr. He actually ate dinner as a guest of honor at Vladimir Lenins table. He told me the story more than once when he was still alive and Art has a picture.

That is an awesome story BeeKool. I have picked up John Deere tractors in Iowa and hauled them to the Southeast.

I'm your neighbor too. John Deere here in town and Hart Paar (Oliver) in Charles City.

My neighbor is retired from Deeres, 35+ years. Waterloo is actually closer to me. I'm near Iowa Falls. If I have a few minutes to spare I may give you a heads up before I head that way. I go to the 'Loo probably once ever couple weeks.
Not quite antique status but they have a few decades on them...

Still a good tractor
