Couple of old Buicks. Any idea what they may be worth?

These cars have been in storage for over 20 years under tarps. They both run and drive well. There is a small dent on the '56(?) behind the passenger rear door near the rocker and the '64 has some rust in the lower driver quarter behind the tire iirc. The old man is starting to get a little mushy upstairs and these will be easier to get rid of now than after he passes. I wouldn't trust the tires either.

Okay you're trying to sell them while he's alive so there's less legal hassle selling them after he passes. Are there any other heirs? Is he of sound mind and body?

The Electra is 17,500 in excellent and 11,000 in good condition. The Roadmaster is about 22,000 in excellent and 18,200 in good

His short term memory is faltering, I have no idea what his plans are for after he dies as far as his will goes. A couple of my family members are wanting to know the worth of these cars and getting them sold now rather than later. The old man may become violent before parting with them or he may be on board. We love each other from 1,000 miles away but aren't buddies by any means. He could leave them to charity as far as I am concerned but other family members are starting to circle to get a slice, some earlier than others.

i would reduce those prices by about a third due to the fact that those 2 cars are Niche cars and have a limited following.
the 2 door convertible will bring good money if sold at right place/location/advertised well.
i can see it going for 10k or maybe a little more.
that 4 door tho.
limited market,4 door car,meh.
5-10k? if advertised heavily.

The convertible started life in the Midwest which probably accounts for any rust. Story has it being used for many parades and such over the years and quite a few hot beauty queen fannies sitting in back and on top of the car in its day. Indianapolis seems to ring a bell but the story related to me was 20+ years ago and my memory is dim, the old mans memory is nearly non-existent but he can surprise you with accuracy sometimes. Can't remember where he left his keys but can tell you about a lunch in Korea during his Navy days.

I know what he paid for them back in the day. The question is where the market is now versus the year 2000. Break even, appreciated, depreciated?

The '57 is a #3+ all day. The '64 probably a 3- on account of the rust. Paint, Interior's and running gear all pretty decent on both. I will try to get my brother to get some current pictures with interior and under hood shots when he is at my dads place over Thanksgiving.

I think you're right. That deuce and a quarter is a lot of fun. They pull pretty hard and ride like a boat, bagged with wheels, I'd go 20 thousand in perfect condition. The roadmaster I think you're close, the right buyer. In two door convertable form the master could go for big bucks, perfect condition. They're both nice. Just my opinion.

Typical of most families. You find out a lot about your family when the parents are going. This is not restricted to your immediate family, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews all want part of the action.

The Electra is a vert- there's always value there.

There IS a market for mid 50's 4 doors for people who can't afford a 55-57 chevy 2 door.

That market has been gaining for the past 3 or so years.

That 65, being a hardtop and styling close to the 57 chevy fits that market VERY well.
