That seems pretty low for a car that hasn't been on a substantial diet. The listed "curb weights" were based on real stripper cars. Actual weights will be higher based on options. My '65 Coronet was over 3700# with 426W, 727 & 8 3/4, not much else, no power anything.it'll be apx 3400#s
Okay so to get technical , when they describe springs for example, a 3400lb car, am I to include myself into the equation or just worry about the actual vehicle weight? The next step up in SS springs is 3800lbs. Seems a bit too far up! Just Asking!!it's difficult to get an all steel street car below 3600lbs, doable but not easy; and driver weight should be factored in. 3500lbs would be low with 3600-3700lbs more likely. my 65 coronet is 3700+ with a big block, auto, no PS or brakes, no a/c.
So it looks to be in my best interest to purchase 3800 pound springs.65 Belvedere 2 H/T, headers, iron 440, 2 Eddys alum int, 727, 8 3/4, no exhaust, bench seats frt &rear, steel rear wheels, 15x4 Americans front, no spare, radio, or jack. 3600lbs w/o driver. There is plenty that can come off. My 64 Belvedere post with mega block, all steel including bumpers (except glass hood), full interior except no back seat, 12 pt cage, Dana, 727, 3095 lbs w/o driver.

car needs a driver. i wouldn't be afraid of 3800b springs. a friend had a set on his '64 belvedere and they seemed to work fine. others have been ok with 3400's but if i were to do a set for my '65 coronet they would be 3800's because that is closer to the driving weight.Okay so to get technical , when they describe springs for example, a 3400lb car, am I to include myself into the equation or just worry about the actual vehicle weight?
