This always seems to be a common answer but rarely do people ever post documentation to back up the assertions.

Where are all of these 'special order' - 'one off' - 'depends on who you knew' - 'factory never made cars' that seemed to have been made? Surely some of them survived and have been documented through the years.

MOST of these types of cars are low production variations but certainly available.

A convertible with HP and A/C was certainly possible and not necessarily uncommon depending on the year and application.

I was a zone rep and had to approve special orders, special fleet orders, etc.
"show car" was one way to get trim deletes, any custom pant, etc
