So, in 2004 my company was hired to remove a number some high-priced yard art pieces at a mansion on the beach in Palm Beach that was being purchased by a well-known rich guy.
On site for 2 days we were told the property was being sold and the art pieces were being taken by "Russians" to a local warehouse. Everything seemed very odd at the time.
Today I read another underbid prospective buyer of the property, who in 2019 committed suicide in jail, had a major falling out with this buyer in 2004 that ended their relationship.
Not much more I can write that will stay within forum rules other than say, "I was there".

The significance of my observation shared here IMO is not the artwork being removed or its crassness, more its value, dollar (we were told all were 6 figures and up) and collector wise, and that it was being relocated by the current buyer, to a foreigners control who would purchase the property two years later at reportably double the price, implying maybe there was pro quid quo for a significant somewhat unexplained financial gain later by the 2004 buyer.

Some other removed art at the location was by the artist Betero, don't know who crafted the "legs".
