Upgrading 70 RR from front drums to discs. As discussed in many threads, there are several vendors that sell the parts and/or kits to do the upgrade. My question is, are they all using the same repop spindles? Who is making them? Why is there a price difference? Here are the prices from several vendors:

Dr Diff- $155 /pair, caliper brackets- $50
Pirate Jack- $230/pair with caliper brackets
The RAMMAN- $295/pair with caliper brackets (on ebay- direct cheaper? $ not on his website)
CPP- $249/pair with caliper brackets and dust shields
Classic Ind-$249/pair with caliper brackets

Anyone know if they are all using the same spindles and brackets or is there a quality difference?

I'm also interested in this same subject. I've also have read about some brands breaking. maybe it was some of the drop spindles that failed? Any info on the differences or pro and cons would help. Thanks ,Pat

There was a recall on spindles that Right Stuff was selling about 1-2 years ago and there was a post about Dr Diff having those spindles and recalling them. That's why I'm wondering if there is one manufacturer making all the repops out there and the best price gets you the same spindle for cheaper.
