Do you need a dual field alt for the later regulator?

Update: Did NOT change the regulator yet. Took the RR for spin last night to tryout the new clutch fan. Noticed several things. Headlights shined steady even with highbeams on. No fluctuation at all. And I could see my dash lights! I think everything is finally charging and regulating properly. Thanks again. Now if I could just figure out the cooling system...
