What years columns can I use on my 70 Bee and can I use an auto on column and take it apart to convert ? Mines a 4spd. 68-69 hazard and key on dash,70 hazard and key on column ,will 71-73 work? thanks

You need a '70 only b-body (Dodge or Plymouth) column. Yes, you can convert one that's a column shift for a console auto/4-spd by changing the lower "collar" on the column (Tony's Parts) and removing the "PRNDL"

70-73 will work.70 has a different key release set up

Hmmmm….well, I've never tried to install a '73 column into a '70 b-body. "Maybe" it physically fits?
68/69 - key on dashboard
70 - key on side of column
71 - key on side of column with black slide "key release thing"

"Correct" - 70 only......though others may fit/work I suppose

71 up are not correct for 70 but will bolt right in.the key release system on the 70 is one year only using linkages while the 71 up you just push down the tab on the lower collar.if you don't care about it being 100% 71 up is the way to go.

can I change out the parts from the 70 to 71,trying to keep it right. On ebay I see only 1 and they want $700 and that to much for me.

thank you everyone

I know this is an old thread, but can a 1968, 1969 steering column be used in a 1967 B body? Are there any subtle differences? Manual steering, floor shift.
