I was reviewing my broadcast sheet yesterday and could not find a line where the information on the original distributor was provided. Am I correct or am I missing it. We have a '69 GTX 440 with automatic.

To my knowledge there is no information on it.

My best guess is the distributor type was based on the engine size and if the transmission was automatic or standard.

Not sure if the carb type (2bbl or 4bbl) played a part in determining what distributor you got.

Everything mattered, lots of different distributors, and especially 2bbl to 4bbl changes things. think about the engines, different compression and camshafts.

And transmissions MT usually have a faster curve.

"Motor's" manuals are great.

Arguably as good as the FSM.
