Donor Hellcat, PCM and loom to work in my project

Hi legends,

I have a hellcat engine and auto box from a Challenger, I will be removing the auto box and fitting a TR6060 gearbox. This will be going into my ‘68 Charger project car.

I’ve searched the forum and didn’t see anything, so apologies if this has already been covered.

My question - will this run without unlocking and flashing the PCM, or will I still need to do that, and at that point, does it become cheaper and easier to buy the Mopar kit that includes the new loom, crate PCM and accessories?

It will not run without unlocking the PCM. It will be looking for signals from the BCM, TCM and the RF hub which you are not using. The harness will need a mod for a clutch switch or have that feature deleted. It will also need the theft features deleted. You may want to delete other features as well.

Just save yourself time and trouble and get the Mopar harness. It’s true plug and play. The PCM will also come with a tune for the manual transmission already.
